CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Doug is the CEO of Clubs Queensland,
which was formed in 1977. He has over 27 years in leadership positions
as an owner-operator, consultant, and senior Management Executive in the
Tourism, Retail, Property and Hospitality (Restaurant, Hotel, Club)
sectors, with a focus on innovation, implementation, professionalism,
communication and relationships. He is a past board member of the Qld Governments Office
of Liquor, Gaming and Racing ‘Queensland Gaming Commission’ and the
Queensland Department of Primary Industry – Food and Fibre Sciences
Division, Centre for Food Technology. Born in Brisbane, he is married with two
children and has a passion for many things including flying. Doug
holds a Private Pilots license with a Command Instrument Rating and he
has been flying since the age of sixteen.

PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER
Amy is responsible for managing relationships with Clubs Queensland's associate members. She joined Clubs Queensland in 2008, after having spent a few years living in London where she worked in marketing and communications roles and of course travelled extensively throughout Europe and North America. She also holds a Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Marketing from Queensland University of Technology. Away from work, Amy enjoys running around after her toddler, hitting the gym and a good coffee.
ana gillespie
ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
Ana joined Clubs Queensland in 2007
after time out from the workforce to spend time with her children, now
busy teenagers. Ana has a qualification in Business Administration and
over 24 years of experience in administrative and organisational
coordination. Born in Argentina, Ana came to Australia over 38 years ago
and speaks Spanish and Italian. Ana loves going to the markets in the
early hours of the morning, followed by an ocean swim at the Sunshine
Coast, and she also likes to spend time with her budgie Rex who is a
chatter box.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & ADVERTISING MANAGER
Bob joined Clubs Queensland in December 2009 after working for 5 years as a BDM for Aruze Gaming servicing clubs and hotels from Brisbane to Rockhampton/Emerald.
Previously having a long association in the media working for such organisations as Australian Provincial Newspapers as Marketing/Circulation Manager where he worked on the re branding of The Sunshine Coast Daily and its 7 free weekly publications, FPC magazines where he relaunched the Noosa Weekender and 34 years on News Limited publications, starting as a 14yo on The Brisbane Telegraph then transferring to The Courier Mail, 17 of those years on Quest Community Newspapers.
In his spare time Bob enjoys boating and fishing.
boyd webb
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Boyd commenced work at Clubs Queensland after 23 years with News Limited in a senior role managing and developing community newspapers, being recognised nationally winning PANPA awards ‘Newspaper of the year’ and awarded many accolades over his newspaper career. He brings a wealth of experience in business development, leading by performance, branding, implementing strategy, reporting, business planning and financial management. Boyd’s passions are for customer service and the excitement and challenges of working on special projects like the Australasian Hospitality and Gaming Expo. A member of the Sporting Shooters Association, Boyd is a keen marksmen and shooter at the Belmont rifle range as well as enjoying fishing and boating with the family.

COMMUNICATIONS & GOVERNMENT RELATIONS MANAGER
Colin joins the team at Clubs Queensland with a broad spectrum of communications and policy experience across a range of government portfolios, most recently as Manager of Government Relations at Tourism and Events Queensland. Colin holds a Bachelor of Communications (Public Relations) from Griffith University and is passionate about building strong stakeholder relationships. He spent his formative years in Townsville and is a staunch Cowboys supporter. On weekends, Colin enjoys Brisbane’s great food and wine offering and spending time in his garden.

EVENTS AND SALES DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Colleen brings 20 years of event and sales development experience to Clubs Queensland. With a Bachelor of International Business in her bag she went travelling and fell in love with events working for Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in London. This set a certain level of expectation and she has since worked for other 5 star hotels such as Sheraton and Marriott and more recently with the 4.5 star boutique Hotel Urban in Spring Hill as Head of the Events Department. Colleen is married to a Frenchman and lived in France for seven years working for Quiksilver in their European head office both in customer service and on large public televised surf events like the WCT in France and Spain and the Masters in Hawaii as well as Tony Hawk skate events in the UK.

WORKPLACE RELATIONS & COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Daniel comes to Clubs Queensland having
spent a number of years practising as a solicitor in the workplace
relations field for a national top-teir law firm. Daniel has particular
expertise in advising on dismissals, workplace discrimination and work
health and safety matters (including bullying and harassment). Daniel holds a Bachelor of Laws and
Bachelor of Business from QUT and a Graduate Diploma a Legal Practice
from the College of Law. Daniel is a solicitor admitted to the Supreme
Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia. Having grown up in Brisbane, Daniel is
an avid Brisbane Broncos supporter In his spare time, Daniel enjoys
getting to the beach, playing music, engaging in the odd culinary challenge in the kitchen and producing a selection of home
brewed craft ales.

WORKPLACE RELATIONS & COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Emma is a qualified lawyer and will add a further depth of experience and capability to the Team.
Emma has a strong history of taking on community leadership roles and volunteer activities and has a keen interest in a number of sports, travel and camping. Emma grew up in the Pioneer Valley, a rural area outside of Mackay, where her parents still run a cattle property and was most recently working as a Graduate Lawyer in the challenging area of family law in Townsville.

RELATIONSHIP/OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
Jason has an exemplar background in the community club industry, with his most recent role running a group of three successful clubs – Cazalys (300 gaming machines), Trinity Beach (82 gaming machines), and South Cairns Sports (60 gaming machines). Prior to his 10-year stint in the Cairns market, he also spent three years as General Manager at the Moranbah Community Workers Club west of Mackay. In addition, he has spent a short period on the Board of Clubs Queensland while also being a long-standing member of the clubs advisory group.
kerri hutchison
ACCOUNTS OFFICER
Kerri assists with the
financial administration and keeps the financial records including
accounts payable and accounts receivable. Kerri has 27 years of experience in
accounting and bookkeeping and joined the Clubs Qld team in June 2008,
returning to work after 4 years caring for her family. Kerri loves the
gym, weekends at the kids’ soccer and dance, and an adrenalin rush –
motor bike rides, parachuting, hot air ballooning, and quad biking.
madelyn jones
EVENTS & PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER
Madelyn joins the team at Clubs Queensland as the Event & Partnerships Manager to head up the annual AHG Expo while Amy Coady takes maternity leave. Madelyn has a range of experience in events, most recently heading up Inaugural Inside Retail Expo earlier this year in Sydney. As well as events, Madelyn loves building industry relationships with her warm and bubbly nature. Whilst Queensland is home for Madelyn, she has spent the last three years in Sydney advancing her career in Event Management and is now back in her home town to be closer to family. She’s a competitive netball player with a passion for all sports, including touch football and surfing, all the while still enjoying a glass of wine on the weekends.

WORKPLACE RELATIONS & COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Melissa Harris joins the team at Clubs Queensland after having been an Associate at the Fair Work Commission where she worked closely with the Commission’s members. Melissa moved to Brisbane in 2011 from Darwin to complete her legal studies at Griffith University and is a qualified lawyer. In her free time, Melissa enjoys exploring the variety of food, culture and entertainment that Brisbane has to offer, barracking for the Western Bulldogs and baking.

OFFICE MANAGER - PA TO CEO & MEMBERSHIP OFFICER
Rose came to Clubs Queensland a decade
ago as a temp and within the year decided to stay! Rose has a diverse
range of administrative knowledge and customer service skills acquired
during 30 years working in property development, real estate,
recruitment and not-for-profit sectors. Rose’s energy and love of life
show in her commitment to supporting clubs, the Clubs Queensland team
and her family and friends. Rose is very proud of her grandchildren and
has many varied interests outside work, including bush walking, tennis,
photography, antiques and travel.
rowan todd
SENIOR ACCOUNTS OFFICER
Rowan assists in the financial
management of Clubs Queensland, including financial records, budgets and
reporting. He joined Clubs Qld in August 2009, having previously
worked in two Brisbane accounting firms and also as a financial
accountant for St Vincent’s and Holy Spirit Health. Away from work,
Rowan enjoys running and enters marathons and half marathons. He also
enjoys watching cricket and football and spending time with his family and their pet dog.
sacha finley
SENIOR DESIGN & PRODUCTION MANAGER
Sacha is Clubs Queensland’s very own in house graphic designer with experience across a vast range of mediums including video, audio, animation, graphic and web design. Having completed degrees in animation and design at Griffith University, Sacha is able to utilise her broad skill set and corporate experience to enhance Clubs Queensland’s creative presence, predominantly via the Club Insight publication and event collateral. Sacha is a discerning grazer with a love for good food, shopping and most of all - gadgets.

RELATIONSHIP/OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
Wayne’s has many years and experience at Club Pine Rivers, his role with Clubs Queensland will be to deliver ‘specialist’ operational experience, that will assist club managers/directors across the state, for example via, Operational/management advice & support, Assistance with restructures, Master planning & club projects, Strategic planning, Temporary/emergency assistance - i.e. locum club manager, P&L, gaming, labour, and procurement assistance, Trouble shooting, Mobile help desk, etc. Pleasingly this role adds to the already extensive benefits, that are available as part of the Clubs Queensland membership offer.
